How to set up Birthday Reminder WebPart

Below you will find important information to set up the Birthday Reminder WebPart

Connect birthdays from Delve profile with the WebPart and the search

The setting follows Microsoft’s recommendations for adapting the search (source MS)

1. To do this, go to your SharePoint admin center -> More Features -> Search
2. Click Manage Search Schema

3. Enter “RefineableDate” in the search field. You will receive search placeholders defined by MS that you can use for your purposes in SharePoint Online.

4. Click the first free property (free means: the “mapped crawled properties” field is empty) property. Remember the property name with the number.
5. Next, click on “Add a Mapping” at the bottom

6. Search for “SPS-Birthday” and click OK

7. Save the property. It can now take up to 24 hours until the content is loaded into the property and all data is displayed correctly.
8. Now go to the birthday web part and enter the property name (starts with RefinableDate…)
